Wedding fever in Swellendam

Near-Spring in Swellendam and wedding fever is hitting the Overberg. Our guesthouse here in Swellendam is getting a fair bit of wedding action this year and we love it. We get to play around with gorgeous little snacks, decadent tartlets & romantic settings while providing a little support for the blushing bride and her entourage.

On today’s menu for a relaxing country wedding bride-&-bridesmaid-preparation-morning we included onion & haloumi focaccine, tomato & basil pizzette, homemade pesto palmiers, Bombay mince curry vetkoek, boerenkaas, camembert, chilled sundried tomato soup shooters,’terrine de foie de volaille’, Cowboy ‘streusel’ cupcakes, Tartes au Citron & of course our very spicy Hot Sauce. Michel has a family connection to the Tabasco empire and its only fitting that we make our own chilli sauce that is sweet, tangy and very very hot.
